ALYGND GUIDELINES & WHAT TO EXPECT
Setting expectations. Creating flow. Respecting your space — efficiently and intentionally.
We don’t just organize—we transform. This page outlines all the need-to-knows before we get started. No confusion, no surprises—just results.
Alright—now that you’ve seen everything ALYGND has to offer, are you ready to transform your space?
Let’s clear the clutter, create function, and bring peace into your everyday life. Your ALYGNMENT starts here.
-
ALYGND is not a cleaning service— but we won’t leave dust behind.
Light cleaning during alygnments may include dustIng, wiping surfaces and vacuuming.
Please have a vacuum accessible and ready for use, along with any specific cleaning products you prefer.
Need a deep clean after decluttering? I will recommend a trusted cleaning service.
-
ALYGND reserves the right to capture photos and videos of your project.
These may be used for future marketing and client testimonials, but rest assured:
Your identity will remain anonymous.
No personal or sensitive info will be shared.
-
I like to keep things simple and streamlined.
Invoices and scheduling invites are sent directly to your email.
Please provide an active cellphone number — prefer to text during sessions for quick updates and on-the-spot decisions.
-
At ALYGND, giving back is a core value. I personally handle the drop-off of all donated items to ensure they reach those who need them most. Based on the nature of your donations, I will identify and partner with a local organization that can benefit most directly.
If you have a preferred charity or donation center, I’m happy to coordinate arrangements accordingly. For your records, donation receipts will always be provided.
-
Every community handles waste differently—and out of respect for local regulations and personal preferences, ALYGND does not take responsibility for trash removal.
All accumulated trash will be neatly placed near your front door unless you request a different location in advance.
When it comes to sustainability, I do my part: I will responsibly manage and remove recyclable items whenever possible—unless recycling bins are provided on-site.
With paper management, all documents will be securely shredded and recycled to protect your privacy and reduce waste.
-
In full transparency: I do not have professional experience with hoarder or extreme clutter environments. However, I approach every inquiry with empathy, care, and a willingness to help where I can.
Depending on the size and scope of the project, I may be open to taking it on. If it becomes clear that the space requires more specialized support, I will gladly assist in connecting you with professionals who are experienced in handling these situations with sensitivity and discretion.
-
TOOLS + SYSTEMS
Not every space needs fancy bins—and not every budget allows for them. At ALYGND, I completely understand that tools and systems aren’t a must for everyone. Some clients prefer to skip the ongoing cost and maintenance that come with refilling containers or maintaining rigid systems—and that’s perfectly okay.
For those who already have organizing tools, I’ll gladly integrate and properly set them during the session—no problem at all.
If you’re interested in adding bins, baskets, or systems, we’ll chat about your preferences and needs during our consultation. After sorting and purging, I’ll evaluate what’s truly necessary and provide a customized purchase order. Once approved, I’ll take care of the shopping—and the final session will be focused on setting and styling your new systems.
LABELING SERVICES
Labeling is a powerful finishing touch that helps create a clear, consistent home for every item. It makes maintenance easier and finding things faster.
Labeling services are available, but not automatically included in every ALYGNment. We'll discuss labeling options during your consultation and tailor them to your space and style.
-
At ALYGND, your space and belongings are treated with the utmost care and respect. My goal is to create a smooth, supportive experience—but as with any hands-on service, a few ground rules are important.
By booking a service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
ALYGND is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
ALYGND is not liable for:Accidental loss or damage to personal items during the organizing process
Items discarded with the client’s verbal or written consent
Pre-existing damage, infestations, or structural issues uncovered during the project
Any injuries related to environmental hazards (e.g., sharp objects, mold, unstable furniture, etc.)
Please secure or remove any fragile, valuable, or sensitive items before your session begins. It helps protect your belongings and ensures we can stay focused on transforming your space.
Your safety and peace of mind are always a priority. If you have any concerns or special instructions, let’s talk about them during your consultation—we’re in this together.
-
ALYGND is proudly based in Indianapolis, serving the city and surrounding areas with care and intention.
Looking for support beyond Indy? I'm more than willing to travel statewide—and even nationwide—to help you ALYGN your space.
-
What’s a home without the energy of loved ones—whether two-legged or four? At ALYGND, I completely understand that your space includes family, pets, and real life happening all around.
PETS
I adore animals and don’t mind having your furry (or feathered!) friends nearby. For safety and efficiency, I kindly ask that pets be kept secure and out of the main work areas and access points during the session. This helps me move freely and complete the ALYGNMENT without disruptions—for both our sakes.
PEOPLE
I know that stepping away from your home isn’t always realistic. Children and family members are absolutely welcome to be present during the ALYGNMENT. All I ask is that they give me a little room to work my magic. If I’m working in their space and they’d like to give input—that’s wonderful! We’ll discuss those details ahead of time to make sure everyone feels included and heard.
While I’ll handle most (if not all) of the physical work, your presence and occasional feedback may be needed to make the ALYGNMENT truly yours.
-
To ensure a smooth start, please:
Remove personal + sentimental items from the workspace.
Secure pets away from working areas.
Have all discussed products or supplies are available for use.
-
Let’s be honest—purging can be powerful. You might not even realize how much space (and peace) is hiding behind the clutter until the chaos is cleared.
At ALYGND, I lean toward a more minimalist lifestyle, so letting go comes naturally to me—but I fully understand that’s not the case for everyone. That’s why the purging process is always tailored to your comfort level.
There are a few ways we can approach it:
Hands-Off: You provide me with a list of what stays and what goes, and I’ll use my best judgment to sort through the rest. If I come across anything questionable, I’ll either set it aside or reach out to you directly.
Hands-On: You sit with me, and we go through items together, piece by piece. This method is highly recommended for apparel ALYGNments or sentimental spaces where personal input really matters.
If you choose to be actively involved in the purge, please be prepared to give the session your full attention during the scheduled time. Your focus helps us move efficiently and ensures the final result truly reflects what matters most to you.
